Sprout FAQ

What is coworking?
Coworking space is office and meeting space used not by just one company; rather by a diverse range of businesses, private individuals, and groups all sharing adjacent offices or desks. It has the benefits of an office—a social environment, a professional location to meet with clients, and the all-important coffee machine and water cooler—as well as an independent and casual nature with options to come in to work occasionally, daily or anything in between to meet members’ needs.

What kinds of meeting rooms are available?
You can meet in any our spaces, from the café to the hotdesk area to the open offices. However, Sprout also offers three designated meeting rooms that can seat 4 to 6 people and one large conference room that can seat up to 20. Each room is equipped with white boards, and a projector is available for the conference room. Use of the three meeting rooms are included in Sprout membership, depending on the membership type, and the conference room is available on an hourly basis.

Do I need to be a member to rent a meeting room?
Nope! Please see our pricing matrix or email us for more information about meeting room use and availability.

How does 24-hour access work?
Our concierge desk is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Those with a hotdesk membership or above receive their very own key fob upon joining Sprout. The electronic key opens the outside door and the door to Sprout, giving access to Sprout and all its amenities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What is the parking situation?
All sprout members and visitors have access to any of the four parking lots around the building. Parking is always free.

Is there public transportation to Sprout?
There is a bus line that stops two blocks away (19, 17, 27, 28). There are also Zip cars available on the premises, and downtown Providence and the AMTRAK/ MBTA train station are less than two miles away.

Can I change my membership type?
Sprout memberships are on a month to month basis. You can change your membership type any time you would like and we will make the proper adjustments.

How does Sprout’s mail service work?
All members may use Sprout for their business address. In fact, we have a number of café members whose primary use of Sprout is our mailing address. Mail may be picked up or dropped off at the concierge desk Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. If you need to send a package, USPS, UPS, and FedEx all pick up from the mail room at Rising Sun Mills. Please inquire about any specific requests regarding mail.

What amenities does the Rising Sun Mills campus offer Sprout members?
As a Sprout member you have access to work and meeting space, coffee, tea, high-speed Wi-Fi, and free parking. Our campus provides a riverside picnic area, a bike path, scenic walking path, and even a gym and a pool table! There is also a yoga studio and a variety of dining choices close by as well as a bank just down the street.

Can I live at Sprout?
No. However, you can live in the same building as Sprout at Rising Sun Mills. We would be happy to introduce you to the people that handle leasing of the 135 rental units upstairs.
